Chamberlains of London – Codeblue, Mamitoko, and Ci Mehong Kue Lapis Legit have recently taken the spotlight, with many people talking about their prices and flavors. These three brands are known for their distinct takes on this beloved Indonesian dessert, and they come with a hefty price tag. Tasyi Athasyia, a well-known food vlogger, decided to rate these famous Kue Lapis Legit varieties to see which one truly stands out.
One of the most eye-catching aspects of Tasyi’s review was the price of Codeblue’s Kue Lapis Legit. Codeblue offers a 10-centimeter cake for a staggering Rp1 million. This price is quite shocking, especially for a cake that is usually sold at much lower prices. Tasyi couldn’t hide her surprise, saying, “This is the most expensive Kue Lapis Legit I’ve ever bought.”
Despite the high price, Tasyi was curious if the taste matched the cost. She took a bite and noted that the flavor was quite rich, with each layer of the cake having a noticeable sweetness. However, Tasyi didn’t hold back in her review, humorously threatening to “burn it” if it didn’t meet her expectations.

Next, Tasyi compared Mamitoko’s Kue Lapis Legit. This brand’s Kue Lapis Legit was priced at Rp899,000, slightly lower than Codeblue. The cake had a larger size compared to the others. According to Tasyi, the Mamitoko version stood out for its balanced sweetness and the pleasant taste of sugar.
Tasyi was very pleased with the texture and flavor of Mamitoko’s Kue Lapis Legit, giving it a rating of 9/10. She found the sugar taste to be present but not overpowering. She described the texture as tender and satisfying, making it her favorite choice out of the three.
Lastly, Tasyi reviewed Ci Mehong’s Lapis Legit. This brand offered the most affordable option, priced at just Rp200,000 for a 10×10 cm cake. Ci Mehong’s Lapis Legit comes in several unique flavors, including durian, cempedak, and prune.
Although Tasyi wasn’t too impressed with the texture, calling it “hard,” she still tried the different flavors. The durian and cempedak varieties stood out to her, earning them positive remarks for their unique tastes. Despite this, she didn’t feel as enthusiastic about the overall texture compared to the other two brands.
Throughout her review, Tasyi remained focused on the flavor rather than the price tag. She was fair in her ratings, giving Mamitoko the highest score at 9/10. Codeblue came in a close second with a rating of 8.9/10. As for Ci Mehong, while she appreciated the unique flavors, the texture didn’t impress her as much, leading to a less favorable review.
Tasyi recommended Mamitoko’s product for those looking for a delicious, balanced flavor at a reasonable price. It stood out as the most satisfying in terms of taste and texture.
